tenure

Trials · Upgrades · Win-back

Turn trials into paid plans. Win back the ones who leave.

An honest email before a trial ends, an upgrade card when a customer outgrows their plan, and a win-back sequence with a reason, all from one retention plan.

Day 2 · Thank you

Always

With a one-click reason, if they gave none.

Day 21 · What’s new

If it’s relevant

Only if you published a note that answers the reason they left.

Day 45 · A way back

Stops if they return

A lower plan at an exact quoted price, on a hosted page.

Sent from your own domain · never after a hardship stand-down

The problem

Each of these is usually another tool.

  1. 01

    Trials end silently

The first thing a customer hears is the charge.

  2. 02

    Upsells ignore usage

The same banner for everyone, including people leaving.

  3. 03

    Win-back is a coupon drip

Ten discounts, whatever the reason they left.

How it works

What Tenure does, step by step.

  1. 01

    Trial endings

One email three days before, saying exactly what happens next, with the plan that fits their use. Accepted at Stripe's own quote.
3 days before the trial ends

    Your trial ends on Friday

If you do nothing, your trial becomes a paid Pro subscription on 3 October 2026, at $49 a month.

  2. 02

    Upgrades inside your app

A card at a limit or a locked feature: seats, add-ons, packs, credits or yearly. One per place per visit, and never a discount.

  3. 03

    Service reminders

Seven days before a yearly renewal, three days before a pause ends, and a confirmation for every change.

  4. 04

    Win-back with a reason

Day 2, thank you. Day 21, what's new, only if it answers their reason. Day 45, a way back at a quoted price. Stops when they return.

Questions about this part.

Can I turn any of these off?
Yes. Cancellations, Upgrades (Upsells in your console) and Win-back are each published on their own: Running, Preview only or Off.
Do I need my own email domain?
For customer email, yes: a Resend account with a verified sender.
Will upgrade cards reach people who are struggling?
Cards are held while a payment is retrying or the product is failing for them, and never carry a discount.

Give it your site address. It reads your pricing and your Stripe catalogue, drafts a retention plan in about a minute, and waits for you. Nothing reaches a customer until you publish.
